GGV has a dedicated department for business litigation and arbitration.

Our team specializes in cross-border commercial and civil disputes and, more broadly, in international litigation. Thanks to our Franco-German identity, we can provide our clients with support that combines fluency in German with a deep understanding of the legal systems and cultural contexts of German-speaking countries. Our fully trilingual team is also able to assist French and international clients in English on all matters relating to litigation and arbitration.

We provide global, pragmatic support based on our extensive experience in managing complex international commercial disputes. 

Our team is highly skilled in developing litigation strategies. We work proactively as part of a preventive approach, identifying risks and assessing the likelihood of success at an early stage of litigation and propose a tailor-made strategy.

We refine this strategy throughout the litigation process and adapt it to meet the needs of our clients, always prioritizing the seeking of a reasoned and amicable solution such as settlement, mediation, and conciliation.

We also ensure the enforcement of court judgments and arbitral awards, both in France and abroad, to secure and recover our clients’ debts.

We also act as counsel or arbitrator in numerous domestic and international arbitration proceedings before the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce), the DIS (Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit), the AFA (Association Française d’Arbitrage), the CAIP (Chambre Arbitrale Internationale de Paris), the Hamburg and Luxembourg Chambers of Commerce, etc., or in ad hoc arbitrations.

We have extensive experience in various sectors, ranging from heavy industry to e-commerce including banking sector, healthcare and life sciences, automotive, food industry and luxury sector.
