GGV has recently expanded its areas of expertise with the creation of the “Criminal and Press Law” department.

Working across a range or sectors and issues, the department assists its clients on sensitive and strategic matters. The team advises on complex cases involving commercial criminal law, labour criminal law, public and environmental criminal law. Representing both defendants and victims, the team provides customised legal support at every stage of the proceedings, whether advisory or in litigation, and on behalf of both companies and individuals.

In the field of press law, the department specializes in issues such as defamation, the right of reply, image rights and privacy, de-referencing and the digital right to be forgotten, as well as counterfeiting and disparagement. Among the department’s clients are leading national media outlets (print, audiovisual, and online), publishing houses, digital platforms, as well as other businesses and individuals.
The team speaks perfect English and German, and advises its international clients on their activities in France.
